Goodman and Daikin will honor the factory warranty on equipment bought online, but only when a properly licensed dealer installs it to code. Most online sellers hand you a pallet and wish you luck finding someone. We hold the Florida mechanical and plumbing licenses ourselves, so the sale and the install come from the same company.
Goodman's published internet purchase policy states that no warranty coverage applies to equipment bought online unless a dealer meeting all federal, state and local licensing requirements performs the install. A handy neighbor will void a ten-year parts warranty on a $5,000 system.
